In 2019, a small seed was planted — not only in soil, but in my mind and heart. What began as a personal hobby and love for plants slowly grew into something much deeper. During those early years, I spent countless hours learning how to care for, propagate, and understand plants, finding peace and purpose through the process of growth itself.

From 2019 through 2022, that passion continued to flourish. What started with a few plants at home eventually turned into a growing collection built from years of propagation, patience, and creativity. As the plants multiplied, so did the vision behind them. In 2022, The Root Market officially came to life — rooted in nature, community, and meaningful living.

As The Root Market continued growing, new opportunities naturally followed. Through plants and design, I was able to create custom plant walls, participate in local markets and community events, and collaborate with organizations whose values aligned with the heart behind the brand. One of those moments included contributing to EcoFest alongside Clean Miami Beach, helping support environmental awareness, sustainability, and community connection.

But even then, I knew The Root Market was always meant to become something more.

The vision was never only about plants — it was about creating experiences rooted in warmth, culture, creativity, and connection. Over time, new ideas began taking root, leading to the future expansion of La Nena — a concept inspired by family, tradition, and the comforting feeling of home.

La Nena brings together handmade pastries, Cuban coffee, fresh breads, and recipes inspired by culture and shared moments around the table. It represents the roots of family traditions passed down through generations — bringing food, conversation, and community together in a way that feels welcoming to all. Through La Nena, The Root Market continues evolving into a space where plants, food, culture, and storytelling all live together under one vision.

Today, The Root Market continues growing naturally and intentionally — one rooted step at a time. From plants and markets to future cafés, workshops, curated spaces, and creative experiences, every part of this journey is built with care, purpose, and heart.
